John Ennis and Matt Farrell admit they would have been perfectly happy working behind their own bar and serving their favourite drinks.
But six years after opening their first bar, the business partners behind a mini-bar and restaurant empire, which has spawned a new generation of independent operations around Liverpool, are now heading a multi-million pound venture with global ambitions.
The two schoolfriends, and fellow childhood mate and business partner Nick Thomas, set up Grafitti Spirit, the umbrella for their city centre bars Santa Chupitos, El Bandito, Salt Dog Slims, 81 Ltd, and their ‘smokehouse and cocktails’ venue Slim’s Pork Chop Express.
